Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Dough

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted Do not overheat the butter.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour Can be substituted with gluten-free flour.
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Feel free to substitute half with white chocolate chips.

For the Brownie Batter

  • 1 cup brownie mix Use any store-bought brownie mix.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking sheet.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the brown sugar, white sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • In a separate bowl, prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions.

Baking

  • Using a spoon, scoop a tablespoon of cookie dough and a tablespoon of brownie batter onto the baking sheet, alternating between the two.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until cookies are lightly golden.

Serving

  • Let cool before serving. Serve warm, either on their own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days. Freeze in a freezer bag for up to 3 months. Do not overmix the dough to maintain texture.
