Ingredients
  

For the sushi base

  • 2 cups sushi rice Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar To mix with sushi rice.

For the filling

  • 1 lb imitation crab meat Can substitute with real crab.
  • 1/2 cucumber, diced
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sriracha Optional for heat.

For serving

  • Seaweed sheets For scooping the sushi bake.
  • Soy sauce For dipping.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the sushi rice according to the package instructions and then mix it with the rice vinegar.
  • In a baking dish, layer the sushi rice evenly at the bottom.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the imitation crab, cucumber, avocado, green onions, mayonnaise, and sriracha (if desired).
  • Spread the crab mixture evenly over the rice layer in the baking dish.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the dish is heated through.

Serving

  • Serve warm with seaweed sheets and a side of soy sauce for dipping.

Notes

Mix the rice with rice vinegar while it’s still warm for better flavor. You can add sesame seeds or fish roe on top before baking. Adjust ingredients based on your taste—substitute shrimp or other seafood if desired.
