  • 2 pieces chicken breasts Boneless and skinless recommended.
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Additional oil may be needed for cooking.
  • 2-3 tablespoons black pepper Adjust according to taste.
  • Salt to taste
  • optional chopped green onions for garnish Adds color and flavor.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, olive oil, black pepper, and salt.
  • Marinate the chicken breasts in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add a little olive oil.
  • Cook the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and golden brown.
  • Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.
  • Slice and garnish with chopped green onions if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

Store leftover Honey Pepper Chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. To freeze, use a freezer-safe bag or container for up to 2 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight and reheat on the stovetop or in the microwave.
