  • 1/2 cup Maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup Barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference

Optional garnishes

  • 2 tablespoons Chopped parsley For garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Sliced green onions For garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice the kielbasa into thick rounds, ensuring not to cut all the way through to allow for a 'Hasselback' effect.

Glaze and Bake

  • In a small bowl, mix equal parts of maple syrup and barbecue sauce. Adjust the sweetness based on your preference.
  • Place the sliced kielbasa on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle olive oil over the sausage and season with salt and pepper to taste. Brush the maple BBQ glaze generously over each piece.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, occasionally brushing with more sauce, until the kielbasa is heated through and caramelized.

Serving

  • Once cooked, remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley or sliced green onions for an added burst of color and flavor.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze the kielbasa bites in a freezer-safe bag. Reheat by baking at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
