Ingredients
  

Cake Base

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Filling

  • 1 can strawberry pie filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it's softened for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Topping

  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • to taste Fresh strawberries for garnish Use fresh strawberries on top for a fresher flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly on the bottom of the dish.
  • In a bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry layer.
  • In another bowl, mix the yellow cake mix with the melted butter until crumbly. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer.

Baking

  • Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  • Let it cool slightly, then top with whipped topping and fresh strawberries.
  • Serve warm or chilled.

Notes

You can serve this dessert warm or chilled. To store leftovers, allow to cool completely, then cover with plastic wrap or transfer to an airtight container. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
